BETHEL, Maine (WGME) — A 49-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a collision with a van in Bethel on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Mayville Road and North Road. According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, a van operated by a 43-year-old Bethel man was attempting to turn left onto North Road when it struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist sustained severe lower extremity injuries and was initially transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital before being flown by Life Flight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
The van driver was not injured in the crash.
