EUGENE, Ore. – A 42-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday following a collision with a passenger vehicle in the Bethel area.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 4 at the intersection of Royal Avenue and Legacy Drive. According to the Eugene Police Department, the motorcyclist, identified as Justin Wayne Arbogast from Coburg, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Eugene Springfield Fire personnel assisted at the scene. The police have activated their Major Collision Investigation Team to conduct a thorough investigation, which remains ongoing. No further details regarding the condition of the other vehicle’s occupants or the exact circumstances of the crash have been confirmed. Lane closures were implemented to facilitate the investigation.
