A motorcycle accident in Gamaliel on Thursday evening sent a 70-year-old Mountain Home man to a Springfield hospital via airlift.
The incident occurred at 5:00 p.m. on Arkansas State Highway 101, where the man was southbound and attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve. According to the Arkansas State Police (ASP), he ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, with the motorcycle coming to rest in a ditch.
The man was airlifted to Cox Medical Center South for treatment. No additional injuries were reported. Authorities did not release the man’s name.
The ASP is investigating the accident, and no further details were provided regarding lane closures or tows.
