Multiple Crashes Reported on I-40 Eastbound and I-25 Northbound to I-40 Eastbound.

Albuquerque – Emergency responders are investigating a multi-vehicle crash on I-40 eastbound near University, reported around 4:00 p.m. today.

Authorities confirmed that the incident involved several cars and a motorcycle, with at least one motorcycle rider sustaining injuries. Emergency services dispatched at least three ambulances to the scene.

At 4:55 p.m., a tow truck arrived to remove a vehicle involved in the collision, which occurred in the left lane near the jersey barrier. As a result, traffic on I-40 eastbound is backed up to 4th Street.

In a related incident, another crash was reported at I-40 eastbound near Carlisle (mile marker 161), causing the two left lanes to close, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

Additionally, there is a rollover crash on I-25 northbound, transitioning to I-40 eastbound, with the vehicle reported on its roof. Albuquerque Fire and Rescue, Albuquerque Ambulance, and Albuquerque Police Department are responding to these incidents.
