Off-Duty Firefighter Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Ohio.

CLERMONT COUNTY — An off-duty firefighter was killed in a motorcycle crash on State Route 131 near Dry Run Road on Wednesday around 12:20 p.m.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle collision involved an 18-year-old motorcyclist, Wyatt Fisher of Blanchester, a 46-year-old in a Volkswagen Routan, and a 23-year-old driver in a Ford Escape.

The investigation revealed that the Volkswagen slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by Fisher’s motorcycle, which then collided head-on with the Ford. Fisher was transported via helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Stonelick Township Fire Department confirmed Fisher was a firefighter with their agency, working on his off-duty time when the incident occurred. The department released a statement expressing profound sadness over his unexpected passing.

As of now, the condition of the other two drivers remains unclear. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

Significant lane closures were reported on SR-131 following the incident.
