RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – An off-duty Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was killed in a motorcycle crash on Oct. 8.
Sergeant Tyler Carr, 46, of Shelby, died while riding his motorcycle. He had served with the Highway Patrol for over 22 years.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred under undisclosed circumstances. No additional details about the crash or other vehicles involved were provided.
A funeral for Sergeant Carr is scheduled for Oct. 16. Additionally, a GoFundMe account has been established to support his teenage daughter.
Authorities expressed condolences, noting, “Our thoughts are with Sergeant Carr’s family and the Patrol family as a whole.”
