ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck early Wednesday morning while crossing Lomas Boulevard, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. near Juan Tabo Boulevard when the pedestrian crossed from south to north and was hit by a Dodge 1500 pickup traveling eastbound. Authorities confirmed the victim was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. The Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
CIBOLA COUNTY, NM – A crash on Interstate 40 affected traffic at the San Fidel interchange on Thursday afternoon, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 100. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, reduce speed, and follow posted traffic signs.
SUNLAND PARK, NM – A man in his mid-20s was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, the Sunland Park Fire Department reported.
Emergency responders arrived at a vehicle versus motorcycle collision on Country Club Road. The injured man was airlifted to University Medical Center by El Paso Fire Department FireStar.
Country Club Road was closed for approximately one hour while the Sunland Park Police Department conducted its investigation.
