Denver Police arrested Nathan Patrick Eastman, 40, on suspicion of vehicular homicide following a fatal hit-and-run involving a motorcyclist on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred near South Sheridan Boulevard and West Hampden Avenue around 11 p.m., resulting in the motorcyclist being transported to a hospital, where she later died. Her identity will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Authorities reported that Eastman allegedly struck the motorcycle and fled the scene. Officers located the abandoned vehicle shortly thereafter.
Eastman was apprehended Sunday evening on charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident involving death. He is scheduled for an advisement hearing in Denver County Court on Monday morning.
