Serious Motorcycle Crash on I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas Leads to Injuries.

A 38-year-old Kansas City man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County on July 23, 2026.

The accident occurred around 10 p.m. as the man was driving eastbound on a 2010 Harley-Davidson VCO Street Glide, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. As he attempted to exit onto northbound I-635, the motorcycle veered off the road, resulting in the rider being thrown from the bike and colliding with a metal guardrail. The motorcycle subsequently continued down the ramp, striking the guardrail before coming to rest.

Emergency personnel transported the rider to the University of Kansas Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. Authorities have not released his name as next of kin have not been notified.

This crash marks the sixth motorcycle incident in July 2026 within the Kansas City area that has resulted in serious injuries or fatalities. According to reports, three motorcyclists have been seriously injured and three others have died this month on local roadways.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
