NEW PHILADELPHIA (WJER) (Oct. 9, 2026) – A 70-year-old Sherrodsville man died Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a flatbed trailer in Monroe Township.
According to the State Highway Patrol, William Burrows was riding northeast on State Route 39 when he veered off the roadway as a truck was turning into a private driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a helmet.
The truck’s driver and passenger were unharmed. Authorities cited the truck driver for a commercial driver’s license violation.
The incident is currently under investigation.
