One Man Dies in Sevier County Crash Linked to Medical Emergency
SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — A 56-year-old man died Thursday afternoon after experiencing a medical issue that led to a crash on Henry Town Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Ricky Howard was traveling east when he veered off the road and collided with an embankment near the intersection of Henry Town Road and Richardson Cove Road, north of Pittman Center. Authorities confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene; however, Howard was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation. Further details are pending as officials continue to assess the situation.
