Three Fatal Crashes Across Arkansas Leave Multiple Injured
Three separate crashes in Arkansas on Friday resulted in three fatalities and two injuries, according to preliminary reports from law enforcement.
The first incident occurred at 12:45 a.m. on North Arkansas 265 in rural Washington County. Dalton James Norris, 27, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado south when he lost control, leaving the roadway and striking a sign, a mailbox, and a culvert before colliding with a tree. Norris was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Later that evening, a motorcycle accident at 9:30 p.m. near 579 Arkansas 107 in Enola led to one death and one injury. Noah D. Henry, 24, of Damascus, was riding a 2025 Yamaha XT250 and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with the motorcycle of David L. Hardwick Jr., 45, of Quitman, who was on a 2025 KTM 300. Henry was killed, while Hardwick sustained injuries. Both motorcycles were found on their sides, with Henry’s vehicle in the southbound lane and Hardwick’s on the westbound shoulder. Clear weather and dry road conditions were reported.
The third crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 79 and Bone Spur in rural Jefferson County. Richard Reeves, 69, of Kirbyville, Texas, was driving a 1966 Chevrolet and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a 2008 Chevrolet. Reeves died in the wreck, while passenger Kyle Walker, 47, from Nacogdoches, Texas, sustained injuries. Weather conditions were also clear and the road was dry.
Authorities continue to investigate all three incidents.
