Toms River, NJ (October 28, 2025) – Two people were killed in a motorcycle-pedestrian collision on Route 37 west near Coolidge Avenue on Saturday, October 25, shortly after 8:00 p.m.
Authorities said both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending family notification.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Toms River Police Department is leading the investigation, with support from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. All westbound lanes of Route 37 between Coolidge and Gouvernor avenues were closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation as authorities work to gather additional details.
