Two Motorcyclists Identified in Fatal Colorado Springs Crashes
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Colorado Springs Police have confirmed the identities of two motorcyclists killed in separate incidents in July.
McCain Dean, 20, died on July 5 after being struck by a pickup truck while traveling northbound on Union Boulevard. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.
On July 10, Talon Severe, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle left the roadway in the 1800 block of North Academy Boulevard while attempting to navigate a curve.
Authorities stated that speed is considered a possible factor in Dean’s crash, which remains under investigation. Severe’s crash is also under ongoing investigation.
As of July 10, Colorado Springs has recorded 32 traffic fatalities this year, which is an increase from 26 during the same period last year.
