A motorcycle crash near Hulett on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two individuals from Minnesota, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Authorities reported that James Neyens, 56, was southbound on Wyoming Highway 24 when he lost control while negotiating a curve, running off the roadway. Neyens struck a delineator post and subsequently overturned.
Neyens’s passenger, 56-year-old Mary Aitken, also died at the scene. Neither individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
An investigation into alcohol use as a potential factor in the crash is ongoing. This incident marks the 70th and 71st traffic fatalities in Wyoming for the year, a decrease from 103 fatalities at the same time last year.
