Traffic Collision on I-5 Resulting in Injuries
A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 southbound near Mile Marker 23 occurred at 3:15 p.m. on March 21, 2023, leaving several individuals injured.
According to CALTRANS, the incident involved four vehicles, including two sedans and two SUVs. Emergency medical services responded promptly to the scene, providing aid to three individuals transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that the collision caused significant lane closures for approximately two hours while debris was cleared and an investigation commenced. The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation to determine the accident’s cause.
