Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 29-Year-Old in Brandon, MS
Brandon, MS — Zachary “Zach” Michael Magee, 29, died Saturday, August 3, 2019, due to injuries from a motorcycle accident in Brandon.
Authorities confirmed the incident occurred in the afternoon, but exact time details remain under investigation. Emergency responders provided medical aid at the scene, and Magee was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported that multiple vehicles may have been involved; lane closures were implemented for the investigation.
Zach was a graduate of Challenge Academy at Camp Shelby and worked as a certified welder and boilermaker apprentice. He is remembered for his love of family, especially his daughter, Kylie, and his passion for outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, with an additional visit on Wednesday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Pinelake Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pinelake Church, followed by burial at Fannin Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Robin Magee; father, Sammy “Mike” Magee; daughter, Kylie Woods Magee; sister, Chantel Lee Munger; brother, Garrett Michael Magee; and grandparents, Idelle Nichols and David Lasseigne. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Patsy Lasseigne and Sammy Morgan Magee.
