Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Connecticut Claims Life of Local Man
A motorcycle accident on Route 207 in Windham, Connecticut, resulted in the death of 28-year-old Austin Leigh Lippincott on Tuesday, according to Connecticut State Police.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Route 207 and Pautipaug Hill Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. Authorities said Lippincott was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle west on Route 207 when a Chevrolet work van traveling east crossed into the westbound lane while making a right turn, striking him.
Witnesses reported that Lippincott was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.
The crash remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police. Officials are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
