Motorcycle Crash in Ripley County Leaves Woman Airlifted to Hospital
(NAPOLEON, Ind.) – A motorcycle crash on West Millhousen and County Line Road resulted in a woman being airlifted to the hospital Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. and involved a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Trace Elliott Harmon of Westport. Authorities reported that 22-year-old Hannah Brandenburg of Sunman and Greensburg was a passenger on the motorcycle and was subsequently aircared to a Cincinnati hospital.
Ripley County Deputy Justin Linkel detected the odor of alcohol from Harmon, who admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening, according to the sheriff’s office. Harmon was arrested and booked into the Ripley County Jail on preliminary charges of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury with Prior Conviction, OWI Endangering, and OWI.
Emergency response included Napoleon Fire, Kentucky AirCare, Ripley County EMS, Ripley County Communications, and Buckley’s Service Center. Investigations into the crash remain ongoing, and no lane closures were reported following the incident.
