FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A woman died, and two men were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Old Keene Mill Road, Fairfax County, around 3:17 p.m. Tuesday.
According to authorities, the crash occurred in the 7600 block, east of Hunter Village Drive, near Saint Bernadette Catholic Church and school.
The driver, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. One male passenger was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries, while another man was transported via ground ambulance.
Two dogs were found at the scene; one is likely facing amputation, police reported.
As of 6 p.m., eastbound lanes remained closed, while westbound traffic was moving slowly. Some drivers recording the incident received tickets due to the county’s Operation Road Shark enforcement program.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with additional details to be released later.
