Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Gillette
A 60-year-old South Dakota woman died Tuesday in a motorcycle accident on Wyoming Highway 450 near Gillette.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Stacy Christianson was riding a Can-Am Spyder when her vehicle failed to slow and collided with the rear of a flatbed trailer behind a turning Ford F-250. Severe wind and driver inattention are believed to be factors in the incident.

Home Invasion in Riverton
Riverton Police arrested two juveniles following a home invasion early Friday at a residence near Walnut and Adams streets.

Authorities said three individuals forcibly entered the home, assaulted the homeowner, and fled the scene after the victim retrieved a firearm and called 911. The homeowner sustained minor injuries. Investigators noted the incident was targeted and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.

Crashes in Lincoln County
The Thayne Fire Department responded to two separate crashes in Lincoln County this week.

Reports indicate one female was taken to the hospital following a T-bone collision near the Star Valley Ranch turnoff on U.S. 89. A second rollover accident near Tin Cup Road also resulted in one passenger being transported for medical care. Both incidents are under investigation.

High-Speed Chase on Highway 310
A 104-mile-per-hour pursuit concluded with the arrest of a driver on Monday after Wyoming Highway Patrol intervened on Highway 310.

The chase started in Montana and ended near Lovell when troopers deployed spike strips on a damaged silver Buick. The driver faces multiple charges including DUI, drug possession, and fleeing from law enforcement, with additional charges pending.

Beartooth Highway Reopens
Beartooth Highway has officially reopened after a June snowstorm stranded several vehicles and dropped heavy snowfall.

U.S. Highway 212 was cleared and reopened Thursday afternoon following the storm, which caused near-zero visibility conditions on the Wyoming side of the pass.
