Fatal Motorcycle Crash in East Sparta on July 8
EAST SPARTA, OH—A motorcycle crash resulted in one fatality on July 8, 2026, on State Route 21 near the intersection with Canal Street.
Authorities reported that a motorcycle collided with a car at approximately 2:41 p.m. The rider, a 37-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident. One lane of State Route 21 remained closed for approximately two hours during the emergency response and investigation.
