A 20-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in Culpeper late Thursday night.
Authorities responded to the incident on Colonel Jameson Boulevard at approximately 11 p.m. The motorcyclist, identified as Jared Brundage of Culpeper, lost control of his motorcycle and struck a curb.
According to the CULPEPER POLICE, the impact caused Brundage to be thrown from his motorcycle and into a light pole. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
The roadway was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup. No other vehicles were involved.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
