COVINGTON — A two-vehicle crash involving an off-road motorcycle on U.S. Highway 190 east of LA Highway 1077 in St. Tammany Parish resulted in one fatality on May 15, 2026, shortly after 3 p.m.
Authorities reported that 26-year-old Muhammad Connor of Snellville, Georgia, was riding a 2007 KTM motorcycle when he collided with a 2006 Toyota Tacoma attempting to turn into a private driveway. Connor was traveling east on the shoulder at the time of the accident.
Connor was not wearing a helmet and suffered fatal injuries, later pronounced dead at the scene. The Tacoma’s driver, who was properly restrained, was uninjured. Impairment is currently unknown; routine toxicology samples will be taken for analysis.
The incident is still under investigation, and lane closures were implemented to facilitate the investigation and emergency response. Further details will be provided as they become available.
