Motorcycle Crash near Carthage Claims Life of Bonner Springs Man
CARTHAGE, Mo. (KOAM) — Jacob “Jake” Morby, 41, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, died in a motorcycle crash on I-49 north of Carthage on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. involving a single motorcycle. Authorities confirmed that Morby was pronounced dead at the scene. He is survived by a wife and school-age children.
Emergency response included the Missouri State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement. The left lane of I-49 was temporarily closed for the investigation and cleanup.
