Longville, LA (KPLC) – A motorcycle crash on Louisiana Highway 3226 late Thursday night resulted in the death of a 38-year-old Longville man.
According to Louisiana State Police, the accident occurred just before 11 p.m. on August 26.
Jonathon D. Harms was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries, authorities said.
Investigators reported that Harms was traveling east on a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle when, for reasons currently under investigation, he veered off the roadway and the motorcycle overturned.
Witnesses reported that Harms was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.
A toxicology sample has been collected for analysis, and the incident is under continuing investigation, authorities stated.
Law enforcement is urging motorcyclists to complete a certified motorcycle safety course to promote safe riding practices and reduce injury risks.
