A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 95 near Exit 33 in Springfield, MA, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, the crash involved three cars and resulted in two injuries. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 2:45 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing one vehicle rear-end another during heavy traffic. The two injured individuals were transported to Baystate Medical Center for treatment.
State Police confirmed that two left lanes of I-95 southbound were closed for cleanup and investigation, affecting traffic flow in the area.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and no fatalities have been reported.
