SHELBURNE, NH — A motorcyclist missing since July 4 was found dead in Shelburne late Thursday night.
According to New Hampshire State Police, 41-year-old Wesley Grondin of Berlin was reported missing after last being seen riding his motorcycle on July 4. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Berlin Police Department requested assistance in locating him.
Around 10:10 p.m., a local resident searching along Route 2 discovered Grondin’s body alongside his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations indicate Grondin was riding westbound on Route 2 when he crossed into oncoming traffic, struck a post, and came to rest in the nearby woods. The crash is believed to have occurred shortly before midnight on July 4. Authorities reported no other vehicles involved in the incident at this time.
