SAN DIEGO – A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 resulted in injuries this afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. PT near the downtown area, involving five vehicles, according to Authorities.
Emergency responders from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department transported three individuals to local hospitals, all with minor injuries.
California Highway Patrol stated that the southbound lanes of I-5 were closed for approximately an hour as crews cleared the scene and investigated the cause of the accident.
No fatalities have been reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
Witnesses reported significant traffic delays in the area, with alternate routes advised.
