JOHNSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A 38-year-old man died in a motorcycle collision with a truck in Johnston on Saturday afternoon.
The accident occurred around 2:41 p.m. on Hartford Avenue near the Oak Swamp Reservoir, when the motorcycle struck a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer making a left turn.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The pickup truck driver is cooperating with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
No additional injuries were reported, and road closures were implemented in the area during the response.
