Motorcycle rider critically injured in collision with SUV in Poland, Maine, on Tuesday night.
POLAND, Maine —
Dylan Deconzo, 32, was riding south on Bakerstown Road (Route 11) around 8:35 p.m. when his motorcycle crashed into an SUV at North Raymond Road.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle slid off the roadway and into nearby woods. Deconzo was ejected from the bike and landed in a ditch.
He was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV, a woman from Massachusetts, sustained no injuries.
Witnesses informed police that the motorcycle’s headlight was off prior to the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
