Motorcycle Collision in Pasco County Claims Life of New Port Richey Man
A 30-year-old New Port Richey man died early Sunday morning in a motorcycle collision with an SUV at an intersection in Pasco County, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. on July 19, 2026, at the intersection of Whitetail Lane and Trouble Creek Road. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that a 61-year-old New Port Richey woman was driving a Kia Sorento, which was stopped at a stop sign on Whitetail Lane.
According to FHP, as the SUV attempted to cross the intersection, it was struck by the motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound on Trouble Creek Road. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No injuries were reported for the SUV driver.

The FHP is actively investigating the crash. Preliminary reports indicate the SUV entered the intersection before the collision, but a final determination on fault has not been made.
