Nashville, TN. – An officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) was injured in a motorcycle accident in Nashville on Friday.
According to the police, the accident happened at the intersection of Elm Hill Pike and McCrory Creek Road, near the Nashville International Airport.
The traffic officer was riding a motorcycle when he was rear-ended by an SUV operated by a 63-year-old driver.
The officer was injured in the accident and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
