One person was killed and another hospitalized in a motorcycle crash on Convene Road on Tuesday evening, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when 63-year-old Ernest Poulos crossed the centerline and collided with a Chevrolet SUV. His passenger, 62-year-old Mary Delaney of Sebago, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Portland.
According to authorities, Thomas Nolan, the driver of the SUV, suffered minor injuries in the collision. Poulos was transported to Bridgton Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Neither Poulos nor Delaney was wearing helmets at the time of the crash, officials confirmed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with no further details released.
