TULSA, Okla. — A motorcycle accident near 61st and Peoria on Wednesday resulted in one fatality.
Authorities identified the deceased as 41-year-old Brian Dexter Pruitt. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police attempted to stop Pruitt on Riverside Drive prior to the crash, which led to a brief pursuit. Pruitt was traveling south on Peoria Avenue when he collided with the driver’s side of an SUV turning left from a parking lot.
Pruitt suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Tulsa Police. The TPD Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
Traffic on Peoria Avenue will be closed in both directions for three to four hours, impacting drivers in the area.
