SEAFORD, DE—A motorcycle crash on River Road resulted in the death of a 56-year-old man from Seaford on May 9, 2026, at 9:20 p.m.
The incident involved a Yamaha XVS motorcycle traveling westbound near Woodland Ferry Road at a high rate of speed. Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, skidded off the roadway, and fell on its side.
The rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on May 10. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
