REDDING, Calif. (March 26, 2026) — A major injury crash involving a motorcycle and a Chevrolet pickup truck occurred Thursday at Gas Point Road and Westho Trail.
Emergency services responded to the incident at 10:09 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision, which involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck towing a horse trailer, blocked the eastbound lane and caused traffic disruptions.
The motorcyclist sustained significant injuries and was treated at the scene; their identity has not been released. Authorities reported no injuries to the driver of the pickup truck.
Multiple emergency units were dispatched, with the first arriving at approximately 10:21 a.m. Traffic control measures were implemented while responders assisted the injured motorcyclist and cleared the scene.
The CHP is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and is seeking witnesses to provide additional information.
