Sacaton, AZ (January 4, 2026) — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 near Sacaton early this morning resulted in the death of the rider, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The incident occurred just before 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes and involved a motorcycle and a stake-bed truck. Authorities reported that the impact ejected the motorcyclist onto the roadway, where they were subsequently struck by another vehicle.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
DPS officials closed multiple lanes of the freeway to facilitate an investigation and protect emergency crews. Traffic congestion extended for several miles due to the extended lane closures.
