NASHVILLE, TN (WRCB) – A Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday while escorting U.S. Air Force Thunderbird pilots to an air show.
Trooper Andy Wall, 36, was critically injured in the crash involving three vehicles. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but did not survive. A second trooper, Buddy Head, sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Stonecrest Hospital.
Authorities confirmed that there were no civilian injuries in the incident. The crash is under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Trooper Wall was a member of the THP Nashville District’s Motorcycle Unit and served primarily in Dickson County. He is survived by his parents, a sister, and a girlfriend.
