WOOD RIVER, Neb. — A Wood River man died Monday night following a collision between a car and motorcycle.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to the scene near Highway 30 and Burwick Road, just east of Wood River.
The investigation revealed that a 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by 22-year-old Grace Williamson of Grand Island, was eastbound on Highway 30 when it collided with a westbound 2021 Indian Challenger motorcycle operated by 51-year-old Kent Redwine of Wood River.
Redwine was transported by the Wood River Fire Department to CHI Health-St. Francis, where he was pronounced dead.
Williamson’s vehicle contained three passengers, including two minors, who were taken to Grand Island Regional Medical Center by a private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.
Deputies cited Williamson for careless driving.
