Crash Involving Motorcycle and Pickup Truck Near Fortuna Claims Life of Estevan Woman
FORTUNA, N.D. — A 43-year-old woman from Estevan was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Sunday afternoon.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at an intersection of highways approximately 10 kilometers east of Fortuna. Authorities reported that a 25-year-old man from Williston, driving a Ford F-150, failed to yield at the intersection, resulting in the crash with the motorcycle operated by a 42-year-old Estevan man, with the woman as a passenger.
Both individuals on the motorcycle were ejected and sustained serious injuries. They were initially transported to a hospital in Crosby, N.D., before being transferred to Minot, where the woman later died. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol stated that the investigation is ongoing, with charges pending against the truck driver.
