Motorcyclist and passenger sustain serious injuries in Brooklyn collision.

BROOKLYN — A motorcycle crash on Providence Road left two people seriously injured Sunday afternoon, according to Connecticut State Police.

The collision occurred around 2:15 p.m. when a 2019 Harley Davidson FLTRXS traveling westbound struck the rear of a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq, authorities said.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man from Brooklyn, sustained serious injuries, while his passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Webster, Massachusetts, suffered suspected life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to the hospital, with the motorcyclist transported via UMass Memorial Health’s Life Flight, according to the crash summary.

The driver of the Hyundai was unharmed, state police confirmed.

The crash remains under investigation, officials said.
