Motorcyclist Found Dead After Crash in Columbia County, Wisconsin
DEKORRA TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WFRV) – A motorcyclist was discovered deceased in a ditch following a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. on County Highway J near County Highway CS. A 19-year-old from Dane was driving an SUV southbound when he crossed the centerline, colliding nearly head-on with a motorcycle operated by a 71-year-old man from Sun Prairie.
First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending family notification. The SUV driver was uninjured.
The crash led to over six hours of lane closures as crews worked to investigate and clear the area. The investigation is ongoing.
