Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Attica
ATTICA, N.Y. — A fatal accident occurred on East Main Street on Aug. 28 at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to New York State Police.
Authorities reported that a 2020 Ram Pickup truck, traveling east near Chaddock Road, veered onto the south shoulder, entered a ditch, and overturned. The driver, identified as Michael R. Sheffield, 56, of Wyoming, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The incident prompted an investigation by New York State Police out of Warsaw. An autopsy is scheduled at the Monroe County Medical Center to determine the cause of death.
