Ponchatoula man killed in three-car crash
PONCHATOULA, La. —
A Ponchatoula man died following a three-car crash on LA Highway 22 on Saturday afternoon.
According to Louisiana State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. near N. Thibodeaux Road in Tangipahoa Parish.
Initial reports indicate that a Jeep and a Nissan were traveling westbound on LA Highway 22, with the Nissan trailing the Jeep.
Simultaneously, Caleb Milton, 28, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on the highway.
For reasons under investigation, the Jeep driver attempted a left turn onto a private driveway, placing the vehicle in the motorcycle’s path.
Milton’s motorcycle struck the Jeep and subsequently collided head-on with the Nissan in the westbound lane.
Milton sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Jeep driver was uninjured, while the Nissan driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
