Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)—A motorcycle crash near Lake Zumbro on Tuesday evening resulted in the death of a 54-year-old Rochester man.
Authorities identified the victim as Jason Goodman. The crash occurred around 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Fisherman Drive NW, approximately three miles east of Oronoco.
According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Goodman lost control of his motorcycle and went down an embankment. He was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
This incident marks the fourth motorcycle-related fatality among Olmsted County residents within a week. On Saturday, two Rochester residents, a 63-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, died in a collision involving a pickup truck southwest of Rochester. Their names have not yet been released.
Additionally, 83-year-old Richard Dean Bedney of Byron was killed in a motorcycle crash on Hwy. 14 east of Owatonna on Sunday. Authorities continue to investigate these recent motorcycle accidents.
