RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A single-vehicle crash on US395 near Lemmon Drive early Saturday morning resulted in two fatalities.
The incident occurred at 3:47 a.m. on August 16, when a pickup truck failed to maintain its lane, entered the right shoulder, and crashed into a center median wall, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Both occupants, a man and an unrestrained woman passenger, were confirmed deceased. The driver was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries, while the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Nevada Highway Patrol and local agencies attended to the scene. All traffic closures related to the incident have since been lifted.
The Nevada Highway Patrol’s Northern Command Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation into the crash.
