AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 21-year-old motorcyclist died following an accident on I-20 westbound on Saturday at 3:53 p.m.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Jonathan Campbell from Fort Eisenhower was found unresponsive at the I-20 westbound flyover ramp to I-520 eastbound.
Deputies reported that Campbell lost control of his motorcycle and collided with the exit ramp wall.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Authorities confirm that speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
