OSWEGO, IL — A motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after crashing into a van making a lawful turn on Route 34, authorities reported.
The Kane County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 20-year-old Stone Antrim, a resident of Oswego. Preliminary autopsy findings indicated he died from multiple injuries related to the crash, with toxicology samples currently undergoing analysis.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. Saturday when the van, driven by a 31-year-old man, turned into a driveway near Wolf Road after traveling east on Route 34. Police confirmed that the van’s turn signal was activated and that the turn was lawful.
Witnesses reported seeing multiple motorcycles traveling at a high speed in the area prior to the crash, authorities said.
Bystanders administered CPR on Antrim until police arrived, at which point officers took over medical care. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
