TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — On Saturday night, a motorcycle accident on US-169 in Tulsa left one dead and another in critical condition.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Harold Butler, 60, was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson northbound when a rear tire malfunction caused him to lose control.
Kimberley Coppedge, 55, was a passenger on the motorcycle.
Emergency responders pronounced Butler dead at the scene. Coppedge was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities reported that US-169 experienced lane closures during the investigation and cleanup.
The crash remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
